Often those businesses that are interested in placing larger orders will want to visit their supplying business so that they can see firsthand the working practices and skills within the business and particularly on the shop floor.
This means that you can not hope to get by on your quality or products alone, but you will also have to make an effort when it comes to getting your business to look smart and professional as well.

Ensure that your exterior is inviting
First impressions count, so there are a few things that you can do to make sure that the exterior of your business looks good and inviting. The obvious one is to give it a fresh lick of paint to make sure that it looks clean and cared for, but another that is very much overlooked is to plant some colorful plants, or, if you do not have the grounds for gardening, just a couple of planters either side of the front door can lift the look of a building and make it look more inviting to those passing through.
Another good idea is to make sure that your business name and any exterior signage to do with your business do not look run down or faded, as this could give your visitors a feeling of your disinterest in your business, which is probably not the case at all.
Store your recycling properly
Recycling can often be the bane of the manufacturing industry. With so many cardboard boxes being delivered on a daily basis and most businesses choosing to store their unwanted cardboard outside, it can not only prove to be an eyesore to visitors but will also entice pests to find shelter on your site.
Even if you have a large bin to put your recycling in, there is still a point where there is just too much to fit in and a big chance of it overspilling onto the floor. This is where it is a very good idea to have a recycling baler on site. A recycling baler will condense the cardboard down to make it easier to store as well as reduce its size. However, you are going to have to make sure that you have the correct baler wire for the recycling job you want your baler to carry out; otherwise, you just be providing yourself with yet another headache.
Have your workforce looking good and professional
One of the easiest ways to make sure that your workforce looks smart and professional is to supply them with a uniform. Although there are plenty of stockists that will happily provide you with a generic uniform for your staff members, there is nothing that says we are proud to work for this company than having uniforms with your company logo or name on them. These may be a little more expensive for your pocket, but you should only need to supply your workers with two or three sets each and possibly a jacket or a sweatshirt for outerwear.
Not only will this look smart, but your staff members will be advertising your business on their way to and from work, so it really is a win-win situation.
